Learn, Connect, Share! Our Purpose

We have learned a lot from families of infants and toddlers in New York's Early Intervention Program. Families have told us that they:

  • Often don't have the time to search for the information they need and want. Families want information about early intervention that is user-friendly, helpful and can be found in one place.
  • Want to be informed decision-makers about early intervention and other services and supports needed by their child and family. Families need resources and learning opportunities that help them to help their children grow and develop.
  • Feel isolated.   Families want to hear from other parents or caregivers of infants and toddlers in the Early Intervention Program about their experiences

Our purpose is to make the eiFamilies website a starting point that will meet your need for information, resources and support.  We want to provide you quick answers when you need them and longer one's when you have the time.   We hope that you will also help us by sharing your tips and suggestions and pointing out if our links aren't working or if you've found better ones! Please send us your feedback at !  We will use what you tell us to add information or resources to the website on an ongoing basis.
